256-GB RAM Slot Kit

256-GB RAM Slot Kit

The new 256GB RAM slot kit was introduced by G.Skill.

Reputable company G.Skill has introduced its new 256GB RAM DDR4-3600 CL16.

Building motherboards with 32GB of RAM or DIMM ports not only allows streaming systems to use 128GB of RAM but also personal and desktop systems (with AMD Ryzen Threadripper or Intel Core i9 XE processors). It also has the ability to use up to 256 GB of RAM. Previously, high-capacity RAM memory kits were not common and their use had its own problems.

But now, according to the latest hardware news, G-Skill has changed the rules of the game with the introduction of its new RAM memory kit. This RAM memory kit has a capacity of 256 GB of DDR4-3600 type and a CL16 delay rate and is designed for AMD's Threadripper platform. Called the G.Skill 256 GB Trident Z Neo, the kit includes 8 RAM or 32GB modules with 20-20 timing and 1.35V input voltage. These modules use 16GB DDR4 chips (possibly Samsung) and have a thermal diffuser as well as LED lights, and you can customize and adjust them completely.

GSkill has tested this RAM kit with AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990X processor and ASUS ROG Zenith II Extreme Alpha motherboard, the results of which you can see above. Apparently, for stable use of RAM with 256 GB of DDR4 memory and a speed of 3600 MHz, a motherboard with a suitable DRAM voltage level is required, and you should keep in mind that this amount of RAM requires a lot of power consumption. Jekyll's new kit is expected to launch in the second quarter of this year.
